Accessibility

AK RFP Hub is built and run by Kai Myers, and we want every Alaska contractor to be able to use it — including people who rely on assistive technology. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA as a working target. We're a small team, so this is an ongoing effort rather than a claim of full conformance.

What we do

• Keyboard navigation for the primary flows (sign in, feed, opportunity detail, settings).
• Semantic headings, labels, and alt text on meaningful images.
• Color choices checked for readable contrast.
• Respect for your browser's reduced-motion and zoom settings.

Known limitations

Some areas still fall short — most notably the interactive map and a few data-dense tables can be hard to use with a screen reader. We're improving these over time.
